Founder, Executive Director

Lancette VanGuilder, RDH, BS is the current President-Elect of the American Dental Hygienists Association. She graduated from high school in Ely, Nevada in 1989 after attending elementary school in Elko, NV and middle school in Eureka, NV. She attended the University of Nevada Reno for her undergraduate courses and obtained her dental hygiene degree from the University of South Dakota in 1995. She has been actively involved in dental hygiene practice, education, leadership and advocacy on the local, state and national level over the last 30 years. Lancette lives in Sparks, Nevada and works as a clinician in private practice, in the corporate world as a professional educator and is an internationally recognized continuing education speaker for dentists, dental hygienists, dental therapists and dental assistants. Lancette also serves as the Clinical Director of Sierra Sleep, Airway and Wellness Center in Reno, NV. Lancette founded Community Dental Connections (A Nevada nonprofit) in 2019 in an effort to help adults and children thrive at home, work and school through the power of healthy smile. Over the last 30 years, Lancette has worked in many areas of public health including practicing as a public health endorsed dental hygienist with Future Smiles, supervising dental hygiene students in community settings and policy making/lobbying in Nevada and Washington, DC. She completed her Excellence in Non-Profit Management Certificate from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2018. She is a past president of the Nevada Dental Hygienists Association and served on the board of directors for the American Dental Hygienists Association as the District 12 Trustee, representing 6 states on the west/pacific coast between 2012-2016. Lancette has received many awards, including:

Lancette has received advanced education for complete health dentistry, including sleep related disordered breathing disorders and brain health. She received her Certificate inAlzheimer’s Prevention and Reversal, ReCODE, from Apollo Health and her training in airway health from Institute for Craniofacial Sleep Medicine.
Lancette is an internationally recognized continuing education speaker and is a key leader and mentor in the dental industry. She serves as the clinical director for Sierra Sleep, Airway and Wellness Center in Reno, Nevada. In addition, she works as a clinician in private practice, owns a mobile dentistry business, a national AGD PACE continuing education company and provides ergonomic coaching. Amidst the pandemic, she became a proud COVID vaccinator with Battle Born Medical Corp and has traveled across the globe advocating for vaccine administration by dental hygienists. She co-founded The RISE Experience and Abundant life. RISE retreats provide education and support for women in healthcare who want to make an impact in the world and pursue entrepreneurship in dentistry. Abundant life is a wellness hub for dental professionals to have access to resources to support the 8 pillars of health. Lancette is most proud of her work transforming healthcare, increasing access to care and bridging the medical-dental divide.
